Women’s Testosterone Therapy Injections in Los Angeles – Women’s Advanced Vitality & Performance Program – Sexual Wellness & (BHRT)

A weekly low-dose testosterone injection that may help
support libido, energy, and overall wellbeing in women
with low testosterone or symptoms of hormonal imbalance. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT).

Testosterone is often thought of as a male hormone, but women
produce it too, and it plays a role in libido, energy, mood,
and muscle tone. When levels decline, often during perimenopause,
postmenopause, or due to other factors, some women experience
reduced sex drive, persistent fatigue, mood changes, or shifts
in body composition. Low-dose testosterone injections deliver
a small, carefully measured amount of testosterone to help
restore levels into a healthy physiologic range for women.
It’s compounded by a
state-licensed pharmacy
at doses specifically formulated for women, which are typically
a small fraction of what’s used in male testosterone therapy.

What to expect

and ensure they remain in the appropriate range for women.
Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.

✓
A simple once-weekly routine instead of a daily application
✓
A good fit for women who would rather not apply a gel every day

through skin contact
✓
Dosed specifically for women, not a fraction of a men’s product

Lab work is required

Women’s testosterone therapy is only prescribed to patients
with documented low testosterone or specific hormonal symptoms
confirmed by lab work.

To Start:
You’ll need recent blood work (within the last 12 months)
drawn between 7am and 10am, including a CMP and CBC.
If you don’t have recent labs, you can
order our Women’s TRT Initial Panel
for a low cost.

To Continue After 90 Days:
To monitor your response and ensure your testosterone stays
within the appropriate range for women, you will need to
complete a lab test within the first 90 days of using
testosterone therapy. You can
order our Women’s TRT Maintenance Panel
or complete it independently. The lab test must include the
following biomarkers: CMP, CBC, TSH, Free T4, Testosterone
(free and total), Estradiol, LH and FSH, SHBG, DHEA, Sulfate,
Progesterone, Cortisol serum AM, and Vitamin D.

Annually:
After the 90-day check in, the
Women’s TRT Maintenance Panel
will be required annually.

How it works

How to use it

A small subcutaneous injection, self-administered once
a week per your clinician’s instructions. Your kit
includes everything you need: vials, syringes,
and step-by-step guidance.

Getting started

After you place your order, you’ll complete a medical intake online and upload your recent lab work.

Clinician review and consultation

A licensed clinician reviews your labs and medical
history to determine whether injectable testosterone
is appropriate for you. A brief telehealth appointment
with the clinician is required (at no extra cost)
before a prescription can be issued.

Prescription and delivery

If approved, your medication is compounded and shipped
discreetly to your door. Most patients receive their
first order within one week of completing intake
and lab review.

Staying on it

After your first delivery,
a new monthly supply arrives automatically every 4 weeks,
so you don’t have to remember to reorder.
Your clinician will schedule follow-up lab work
periodically to monitor your response. You can
delay a shipment or cancel anytime from your account.

Personalized by your clinician and adjusted over time
based on follow-up labs and how you respond.

Women’s Hormone Care in Los Angeles

Los Angeles Peptides Clinic offers an online intake for
eligible patients in Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood,
West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Pasadena, Burbank, and
surrounding LA communities. Clinical eligibility and
treatment availability are determined through the
medical review process.

A note on injections

Because women use a much smaller dose than men, your dose
is small and precisely measured, and your clinician will
guide you through technique and rotating injection sites.
Unlike topical options, there’s no medication on the skin
afterward, so there’s no risk of transferring it to partners
or children. Your care team can answer any questions
about safe self-injection.

A note on what testosterone therapy is and isn’t

Testosterone therapy for women is a medical treatment for
symptoms tied to low testosterone, not a performance enhancer
or general wellness treatment. Testosterone given to women
who don’t have low levels does not improve energy or libido
and carries real risks, including effects on hair, skin,
and voice. Your clinician will only prescribe testosterone
if your labs and symptoms support a clinical need, and will
monitor to keep levels within the appropriate range for women.

Important to know

Testosterone is a prescription medication and a controlled
substance in the United States, requiring evaluation
by a licensed clinician.

Testosterone therapy for women is not FDA-approved.
The FDA-approved versions of testosterone are dosed for
men; testosterone for women is prescribed off-label,
based on a growing body of clinical experience and
international clinical guidelines. The Global Consensus
Position Statement on Testosterone Therapy for Women,
endorsed by major medical societies, supports testosterone
use specifically for hypoactive sexual desire disorder
(HSDD) in postmenopausal women.

Clinical guidelines often recommend topical testosterone
as a first-line option for women. Injectable testosterone
is also used and may suit women who prefer a weekly routine
over daily application. Your clinician will help you choose
the delivery method that fits you best.

This medication is compounded, meaning it’s custom-prepared
by a state-licensed pharmacy at doses specifically
formulated for women.

Testosterone therapy for women is dosed to maintain
physiologic female testosterone levels, not to raise
levels above the normal female range.

Possible side effects include acne, oily skin, unwanted
hair growth, and, with sustained high levels, changes to
voice or skin that may not fully reverse. Your clinician
will monitor for these and adjust your plan if needed.

Not everyone is a candidate. Your clinician will review
your medical history, possible side effects, and whether
this treatment is right for you.

Results vary and are not guaranteed.
